I agree Dan. Garth has given out some bad contracts in terms of length. Bailey, Grabo, and Kulemin come to mind.

The Bailey one is fine based off his production last year. If grabbo was healthy that would be ok as well. He compounded the kulemin and grabbo deals which he is almost free of by giving out crap deals to Cal and Casey

I'd rather have given Bailey, Grabo, and Kulemin 3 year deals based on them being so inconsistent in their career.

Exactly. I would rather pay more per year for less years.

The whole team liked weight not just jt, hard to say he made some demand weight stay as coach. Also unless we know he's saying to sign these guys cause he will only stay if they do we should stop with the conjecture in here. I'm sure he has concerns and opinions but I'm not sure he's the kind of guy making ultimatums. I'm sure he has some input but not this much say. Maybe snow is really this incompetent on his own

Going to (frank)ing crack up when our idiot owners keep Snow and hire Weight as our full time coach and JT bolts for greener pastures

I know a lot of you will disagree which is fine but I have lost a ton of respect for Tavares due to him helping keep these bush league idiots with the Islanders. I honestly can care less of he stays I'm more concerned with the return our moron GM will get for him.

I'd agree if it were leaked that JT did in fact push to keep everyone. I think weight was based on his thoughts but again the whole team basically loved the guy compared to cappy. They had good results under him, lets see what happens when he gets his own assistants in there and can change the system

I've said for the longest time that JT should be pushing for a better GM and coach. Other star players in various sports have done it.

The only thing that's been reported has been his support for this gong show of a regime.

It's a hockey website there will be conjecture about everything. Nothing else going on with the Isles while we wait forever for these playoffs to be over. I just do not want JT sulking while he goes along with the same GM and coaches and I have to hear he is trying too hard on the ice. JT has been around the game for his entire life and he should know Garth is not the answer and the team needs a more proven coach.

so by doing nothing hes supporting them? I can somewhat agree on that. Not sure many players can get their gm fired, coach yes but gm not too sure. Figures we get new owners that love the guy, misery loves company on here

A star player having some input is okay. But to say he "should be pushing" is allowing the inmates to run the asylum. The owners are the ones that should've already pulled the plug on Snow, not the players. How does this organization always end up with poopty owners that have no grapes?
